The RedShift Performance Journey
Redshift is how astronomers show the rapid expansion of our universe. Astronomers observed that light from distant objects in the universe is redshifted (shift in the frequency of light towards red), which tells us that the objects are all moving away from us. Thus, Cosmological redshift results from the expansion of space itself.
